Mason County Historical Society staff members are committed to providing friendly, courteous service to the public. All work-related tasks will be performed in a professional, competent manner. Museum Front Desk Clerks serve the visitors to three different venues by selling admission tickets, assisting guests and selling merchandise in museum stores, and providing information to guests about Historic White Pine Village, Port of Ludington Maritime Museum, Mason County Research Center, and the general Mason County area.
Salary: $13.00

This position serves Mason County Historical Society as a costumed historical interpreter at Historic White Pine Village during the museum’s summer season. This position is responsible for interpreting the history of the early settler to Mason County, Michigan.
Salary: $14.00 hr
Part-time seasonal; 20 hours a week Tuesday - Saturday (flexibility required, includes some holidays and possible evenings)

The Program Coordinator Internship for the Society assists in creating programming for all three Historical Society venues. This position will work directly with the Program Coordinator and Site Managers.
This position helps to facilitate the development of programming for all educational programs, including school field trips, birthday parties, day camps, outreach, and special event programs.
While our internships are unpaid, we offer a $750 stipend upon successful completion of a 3 month internship. College credit may be available through your academic institution.

The Curator Internship will assist with the care and management of the historical artifacts and archives in the Society’s collection. This position will work directly under the Collections Manager, and in collaboration with museum Site Managers.
This position helps protect and preserve the collection while making it more accessible and resourceful to researchers and the community. Additionally, this position will assist with research-related requests, genealogy requests, and various research-related needs.
