Accessibility Statement

Mason County Historical Society is committed to ensuring that our website and digital resources are accessible to all visitors, including those with disabilities. We strive to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the recognized standard for web accessibility.

Our Ongoing Efforts

We regularly review our website for accessibility issues and work to address barriers as we identify them. This includes our exhibit pages, historical archives, event listings, and other digital content.

Known Limitations

Some of our historical documents and archival materials are available as scanned images or PDF files. While we are working to improve accessibility of these materials over time, some older documents may not yet be fully accessible to screen reader users. We are happy to provide content in an alternative format upon request.

Feedback and Assistance

We welcome your feedback. If you encounter an accessibility barrier on our site, or if you need information in an alternative format, please call us at 231-843-4808. We aim to respond to accessibility requests within 3–5 business days.

Third-Party Content

Our website may include embedded content or links from third-party sources. While we encourage our partners to meet accessibility standards, we cannot guarantee the accessibility of content outside our direct control.
