How do I reserve White Pine Chapel?
Download and complete the Wedding Reservation Form (PDF), then contact us by phone at (231) 843-4808 or email michelle@mchshistory.org to confirm your date and submit your $150 security deposit.
What is the guest capacity?
The chapel seats 60–70 guests comfortably. For larger gatherings, outdoor ceremonies on the Village grounds offer nearly unlimited seating — ask us about options.
Can we have our reception at the Village?
Yes! The grounds are available for receptions. Tents are permitted in designated areas; you'll arrange your own tent, chairs, tables, and lighting. Our kitchen is available to rent ($250) for caterers holding a Michigan ServSafe certification.
Is alcohol allowed?
Alcohol is not permitted anywhere on Historic White Pine Village grounds. This policy applies to all events including receptions and rehearsal dinners.
Can we have an outdoor wedding instead of inside the chapel?
Absolutely. Outdoor weddings may be held throughout the Village at the same rental rate as a chapel ceremony. It's a beautiful and unique alternative with unlimited seating and spectacular photo backdrops.
When is the Village open? Can we visit before booking?
Historic White Pine Village is open Tuesday–Saturday, 10 AM–5 PM (May through October). We encourage prospective couples to visit during open season to tour the chapel. Contact us to arrange a viewing.
Is the chapel available for baptisms and memorial services?
Yes. In addition to weddings, the White Pine Chapel is available to rent for baptisms and memorial services. Contact us directly to discuss your needs and we'll work with you on scheduling.
What makes this different from other venues near Ludington?
The White Pine Chapel is a living museum exhibit — authentic 19th-century architecture, donated stained glass, original pump organs, and a hilltop setting within a 23-building historic village. There's no other venue quite like it in West Michigan.
