FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Group Tour FAQs

Answers to the most common questions from bus tour operators and group leaders.

What is the minimum group size for a group tour?

Group tours are available for organized groups of 25 or more guests. For smaller groups, individual admission tickets are available during regular operating hours. Contact Rebecca at (231) 843-4808 ext. 103 to discuss your options.

Is there parking for motorcades and buses?

Yes. Historic White Pine Village has a dedicated large-vehicle parking area that accommodates motorcoaches. Drivers are welcome to wait on-site. The Port of Ludington Maritime Museum also has nearby bus accommodation — Rebecca will provide full logistics details at the time of booking.

How far in advance do I need to make a reservation?

We recommend booking at least 2–4 weeks in advance to secure your preferred date. During peak summer months (July–August), earlier reservations are strongly encouraged. Same-week reservations may be available based on staffing — contact Rebecca to check availability.

Can we arrange a catered lunch on-site?

The full-day All-Society Combo Tour includes a lunch stop at the Mason County Research Center, where groups can dine surrounded by curated historical exhibits. Catering arrangements can be coordinated through Rebecca. Downtown Ludington also has multiple restaurants equipped to handle large groups.

Are the sites accessible for mobility-limited guests?

We do our best to accommodate all guests. Most Village buildings and museum spaces have accessible entrances and pathways. Seating is available throughout the Village grounds. Please inform Rebecca of any specific accessibility needs when booking so we can best prepare for your group.

What is included in the group tour price?

Group tour prices ($15/person for Village only, $29/person for Village + Maritime Museum combo) include full access to all exhibits and buildings, interactions with living-history interpreters, and use of all common areas. The full-day combo is custom-priced and includes the Research Center lunch stop. Catering, if desired, is an additional arrangement.

Do you accommodate family reunions and non-tour groups?

Absolutely. Beyond motorcoach and travel club groups, we welcome family reunions, church groups, corporate retreat teams, senior center outings, and any organized gathering of 25 or more guests. Contact Rebecca to discuss your specific event needs and available options.
