In-Kind Giving

You don't have to write a check to make a difference. In-kind giving — donating your goods, professional expertise, or time — helps us operate more efficiently and directs more of every dollar toward our mission.

OTHER WAYS TO GIVE

Give What You Have. It Matters.

In-kind contributions reduce our operating expenses and allow us to allocate more funds directly toward our mission of preserving and sharing the history of our community. For a small nonprofit operating three historic sites, donated goods and services can have an outsized impact — every dollar we don't spend on lawn mowers is a dollar we can spend on preservation.

Ways to Give In-Kind

Goods for Operations

Practical donations that keep our sites running smoothly — and our teams fed and supplied on event days.

  • Lunch or refreshments for volunteers on History in Action Days, Maritime History Days, or special events
  • Office supplies — printer paper, ink, postage, binders, file folders
  • Building maintenance materials — paint, lumber, hardware, tools
  • Cleaning supplies and janitorial products
  • Archival supplies — acid-free folders, boxes, sleeves for document preservation
  • Technology — computers, printers, cameras, AV equipment

Professional Services

Do you have expertise that our organization needs? Donated professional services can be as valuable as any monetary gift.

  • Lawn care & landscaping — 12 acres at White Pine Village require seasonal maintenance
  • Carpentry & construction — Repair and restoration work on historic structures
  • Graphic design & marketing — Brochures, signage, social media, print materials
  • Photography & videography — Documenting events, programs, and collections
  • IT & technology support — Website maintenance, hardware support, database management
  • Event planning & catering — Support for fundraising events and community programs
  • Accounting & legal services — Professional support for nonprofit operations
