Museum of Music
Celebrate 100+ years of the legendary Scottville Clown Band.
There’s no other band in Michigan quite like the Scottville Clown Band, a comic marching institution with more than a century of performances, laughter, and community spirit. The Museum of Music at Historic White Pine Village is its official home in the historical record, underwritten by the band itself.
This large, beautifully designed building showcases the full arc of the Clown Band’s 100-year history: costumes, instruments, photographs, programs, and the stories behind some of their most memorable parades and performances. It’s a joyful exhibit in every sense — one that reminds visitors that music and laughter are as much a part of community history as courthouses and lumber mills.
For fans of Michigan music history, local culture, and just plain fun, the Museum of Music is an essential stop on the Village tour.
